The Resistance (レジスタンス Rejisutansu) is a group lead by Shu and his son Shiba that opposed the tyranny of the Holy Emperor. They seek to liberate the abducted and enslaved children held captive by Souther being forced to work on his Holy Cross Mausoleum. Their base is a hideout hidden from the Holy Emperor's forces where all members, including children, are treated as equals and receive decent daily food portions.
