Black Belt originally titled Fist of the North Star (北斗の拳 Hokuto no Ken) is a side-scrolling beat 'em up game for the Master System made by Sega based on the Fist of the North Star series.

In the west, the game was rebranded and removed all references to Fist of the North Star.

Gameplay[edit]

The game is composed of six chapters in which players face different enemies depending on the current stage and occasninally a toughter boss opponent. Like in Fist of the North Star the enemies may violently expolode upon defeat. At the end of each stage an ultimate boss is faced, each one weak to a specific attack the player has to figure out.

Plot Summary[edit]

The player takes control of Riki (originally Kenshiro) who needs to rescue his girlfreind Kyoko (origianlly Yuria) from his rival Wang (originally Raoh).
