Akira Kamiya (神谷 明 Kamiya Akira) is a Japanese voice actor and singer. He is noteable for voicing Kenshiro in the Fist of the North Star anime and some other media as well as Ryuken in later spin-offs.
Biography[edit]
Akira Kamiya was born on September 18, 1946 in Yokohama, Japan. In 1970 he made his debut as a voice actor as Senkichi in Maho no Mako-chan and from 1980 onwards he was given many major roles in anime such as Kinnikuman and City Hunter, alongside the role of Kenshiro in the Fist of the North Star anime.
In 1979 he, along with Mitsuko Horie, released a debut single titled Oh! Sunday Youth is Sunday. He has since worked on several image songs in Purin Purin Monogatari and Fist of the North Star.
